Rooibos Herbal Tea
Rooibos, pronounced 'roy-buhs,' is not tea, but it has the name 'tea' attached to it to denote a hot beverage that is not coffee! The caffeine-free tea Rooibos is cultivated in South Africa's Cederberg mountain area. Rooibos is also known as 'Redbush,' which can be confusing because the plant (or bush) from which Rooibos is produced (Aspalathus Linearis) is green until the leaves oxidise and develop a distinctive red hue.

Rooibos is a superb herbal tea with a rich flavour that is comparable to black tea. Many others use Rooibos in the same manner, with a splash of milk and a sweetener such as honey or sugar. We recommend starting with only Rooibos since it has a fantastic flavour.
